Merch for ad agencies: client approval in 3D
An agency sells the idea; the client signs off on a picture. While a merch mockup lives in an email thread, every “could it be a bit bigger” pushes the launch back. In confeek you build the item on a 3D model, email the mockup to your client and lock in their approval with a signed sheet. Merch stops being a side project with a dozen emails and becomes a mockup plus one clear document.
Where agencies lose time on merch
Merch is rarely the main part of a project. It comes alongside a campaign or event, yet takes far more attention than it deserves. The reason is almost always the same: the client can’t see the item until it’s printed.
- A designer draws a flat mockup, and the client can’t tell how the logo will sit on a round thermos or a folded T-shirt.
- Edits travel through email and messengers, versions get mixed up.
- Client approval is just a line in a chat, hard to rely on if the run turns out wrong.
- Every new order starts with a fresh brief for production.
How the merch designer works for agencies
- Build the itemPick a product, set colour and material, upload the client’s logo and position it on the model.
- Show the clientRequest the mockup by email: you get a PDF with the render, options and quantity, plus an image of the item, ready to forward or drop into a deck.
- Make changesIf cookies are allowed, the draft stays in your browser. Come back, tweak it, send a new version.
- Place the orderThe request reaches a manager with the configuration attached. They work out the run, the branding method and the timeline.
- Lock in approvalDownload the approval sheet in your account, have the client sign it and upload the scan.
A 3D mockup instead of descriptions
Clients say yes faster when they see the object instead of reading about it. The model rotates and zooms, so it’s clear how much space surrounds the logo and how it looks on dark and light finishes. Some products can also be viewed in augmented reality. It’s also an easy way to show options: build two or three colour versions and discuss real pictures.
An approval sheet that can’t be mixed up
The signed sheet carries a QR code derived from the order. When you upload the scan, the system checks it against the current version. If quantity, price, colour or logo changed after the sheet was printed, the scan is rejected as outdated, and a sheet from another order won’t pass either.
Promo campaigns for your clients
Sometimes a client wants every employee or guest to choose their own item. confeek promo campaigns handle that: each recipient gets a personal one-time link by email, signs in with that address, sees only the allowed products and limits, and builds their own version. Each request is moderated and gets its own job sheet. The confeek team sets up the campaign from your list of products and recipients.

Frequently asked questions
- Can the client see the mockup without an account?
- Yes. Request the mockup by email as a PDF with the render, options and quantity, then forward it. Nothing to install.
- What if the client signs an old version?
- The scan is rejected because the QR code is tied to the order version. Download the sheet again, sign it and upload it.
- Who sets the price and timeline?
- A manager, once they receive your request with the configuration. The minimum run also depends on the product and branding method.
